Summary: Dulce is an artist, community leader, wife, mom, and friend and she shared her life lessons of strength and conviction on @The Breaking Free Show live 1PM ET on our Monday, November 3rd show.
Note – Dulce promotes The One Tribe Fest in this show, scheduled for 11/8/2014 in Raleigh, NC.
Marilyn (M) – So you described yourself as having a “Gypsy Soul.” What does that mean to you?
Dulce (D) – It means expressing yourself in your own way. Live in the moment.
M – Why does freedom matter to you?
D – It means breaking away from the trap of the illusion of the world. Being yourself.
M – I think I know what you mean.
D – It’s really in depth. Some people may not get it. I think this whole world is a projection. It’s important that we create correctly. I believe that we have to break the illusion, but it’s what we create. We are powerful creators. You have to use the words of what you want in your life.
M – I believe in this notion of ReEnchant Planet Earth. I believe we have laid down this layer of “yuck.” We can remove that layer of yuck by shfting out awareness, how we are with each other. As we break free, we remove that layer of yuck.
M –Dulce is doing something really cool. She’s created a community event.
D – I’ve created an event called “One Tribe Fest.” It’s envisioned to unite the tribes of the world. It’s a place for artisans, healers to heal, businesses to promote and share themselves with the world.
M – What is your philosophy in bringing these people together?
D – We all have differences but we have more in common. We all want love. We all want to prosper and thrive. That’s what I want to focus on. There’s enough for everyone. It’s there to share with others. There is enough for all.
D – I think it’s important to know where our food comes from and where our water comes from. I think we need to go back to the basics. The food tastes so different when you grow it yourself.
M – This is what freedom is.
D – Yes! That’s what happened with One Tribe Fest. Sometimes you have to put aside the thoughts that society says to do it this way. I say Just Do It! Just follow spirit. Follow your gut. And move forward! I didn’t know where the money was coming from, but I just put it out. I had 15 days to come into the money. I just put it out there and the Universe got it to me. I mentioned it to one person and the next thing I know, it’s happening.
M – I believe that if you move with the river, someone will be there to lend a helping hand. If you’re doing it in alignment, it will work out. You’re part of the clicking that the machine needs to go. You’re a piece of what’s going on.
D – Do everything from the heart. I don’t like the word mistakes. It’s all learning to pull you forward.
D – I grew up all over. I traveled a lot and saw many cultures. I grew up speaking Portuguese.
M – It took you awhile to be ready to agree to come on the show. You really didn’t want to at first. In fact, you said No!
D – No, I didn’t want to come on today. I’ve always been a behind the scenes person. I grew up where my voice wasn’t heard and I think this carries through. This event is beyond my comfort zone. Do something that scares you every day, says my daughter. I’m going to go with that.
D – Parents today are doing much better in supporting their children than we did.
You can move beyond abandonment and it’s important that we do.
M – I want to honor you for what you’ve done. I knew how scary it was for you and was very careful about how I promoted it. If you’re You’re catching the show because you’ve been drawn to it.
D – It was the little voices that were inside my head. The ones that say you can’t talk. You can’t say things the right way. Don’t listen to your head. I’ve had to work hard, but I tell myself positive things now like I’m doing OK, etc. I don’t take medication. Instead I read Louise Hayes. If I get stressed out. I do affirmations from her. I joyously release my past…
Learning to know you’re safe is so important.
M – When I feel scared, I feel like I’m in the right place. I feel like I wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t supposed to be there. I feel like I’m part of the machine. I feel like it’s supposed to be. I am scared a lot.
I find a lot of solace in Angelena Jolie – She throws up before the beginning of every movie. Then I think it’s ok to be more conscious, awake and in my space.
D – Notice your fear, but don’t stay stuck in it.
M – Yes! I know you were really fearful about coming on, but I heard something in you. You have so much to share in general, Dulce.
D – I really do love to know about everything! I want to do everything, taste everything, know about everything. That way, I don’t judge. I try to see both sides to everything. I also love photography. I am trained in photography. I love the beauty of it all, the textures, etc.
M – Oh yes, we could take much more. I’d love to have you back on a future show.
D – Yes, we could probably do 20 together!
